A week after school finished Tracy, Harry and Toby went off on an adventure for the night to Cama beach. It was arranged months ago, possibly even a year ago, by the mum of one of Toby’s friends. Cama Beach is a very popular destination on Cama Island. This state park is full of 60 year old cabins and from what Tracy says they haven’t changed much since they were put in place.
I can’t say much about the trip because I wasn’t there but the main points are as follows:
1. The cabin smelt like the Crab Pot i.e. fishy!
2. When the tide came in it was right up to the front door and driftwood floated past their front door
3. There was a sweet shop that Harry and Toby kept buying 25 cent sweets from
4. Tracy was mostly anti-social, sitting in her chair in the middle of the beach reading her book!
5. The boys were swimming in the water until about 10pm at night
6. Toby’s friend Ian had a mood when they got there and had an afternoon sleep for 3 months
7. They bought enough hubba bubba bubble gum to sink a ship
But mostly they had an”epic” time! Maybe I will get to go there next time but we will need to book well in advance as it is very popular! All photo’s are provided by Tracy:
